Colonel Allensworth State Historic Park (SHP) Learning and Event Center Project

Colonel Allensworth SHP preserves the legacy of Black Americans who navigated systemic racial discrimination prevalent during the Jim Crow era by establishing the town of Allensworth as a model of equality, empowerment, and self-sufficiency.

California State Parks invites you to participate with park partner organizations, descendant communities, California Native American tribes, and other interested community partners in development of not only the new Visitor and Event Center project but also the long-range Vision for the park.

This website will grow as the project progresses. Visit often to learn about future opportunities to engage with this project.
